If you aren't familiar with me already, here is some information on who I am & why I do TV stuff. I started out in high school as an A/V Club nerd, anchoring my school's daily news program during homeroom. From there, I went to Kutztown University majoring in TV Management and Music (The music degree was only for fun). I was a Producer and News Director for the daily news show there, too. My first job was at PMTV as a Production Coordinator. I worked on events like Pro Wrestling, Ladies Bowling, and Motocross while learning all the basics of remote tv production. The trucks were definitely my favorite part, so... I moved down to Atlanta to work for Crawford Communications. There I did Operations and Account Management for their growing fleet of satellite trucks and resale of their sat space inventory. Next I moved back up to NYC to work for All Mobile Video. As Director of Live Events, I did Account Management and on-site Tech Management of entertainment and corporate jobs around the country. My next stop was Wash DC working with Streampipe. Already providing transmission support to the earliest webcasting groups, I knew it would be important to learn all about this new method of distributing a signal. Back in NYC, I became a "permalance" Ops Producer for CNN. I was in the control room handling all the remote shots from reporters as well as guests and coordinating feeds during breaking news. In my "free" time, I was also producing Satellite Media Tours, directing Webcasts, and tech managing remote productions. Basically this was when Kaci Crooks Productions got its start. When it was time to leave NYC, I headed to the Philadelphia area and worked as a Producer and eventually an Account Executive for Videolink. I enjoyed being back on the vendor side and the meetings in NYC with all of my friends at the networks, but in the end I really missed doing the production, instead of just typing the bids, so... I decided to stay in Philly and put Kaci Crooks Productions back into business. Through KCP, I'm producing, directing, coordinating, tech managing-- doing all the things I truly love -- and still working with all of the great people and companies I have met along the way. |
